Binging Just Before You Quit

This is something that many of us do who have been involved in addiction. We set a quitting date and feverishly indulge and binge on our addiction until the last possible minute. The problem is, that you are setting yourself up for failure if you do this because binging just before you quit will actually make it harder, and not easier to get free. Binging just before we quit will normally sabotage and prevent our recovery.

When you binge on an addiction something happens. Your body and mind gets pumped full of the substance and mental pleasure, and conversely your withdrawal symptoms will be much worse later than if you had not binged. Also, when you fully binge on your addiction it can re-attract evil spirits that have been connected to that addiction and give them power to tempt you to relapse and you get setup for failure.

The best thing to do before you quit is to just ask God how He thinks you should quit. Normally the Holy Spirit will lead you in quitting and His plan will work every time.

For many of you reading this right now your time to quit has come so give yourself the best chance of quitting and staying free by letting God show you the best way to quit for you. Quitting God's way will end your relapse cycle and give you lasting freedom.

JAS 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
