God Gets To Everything Eventually
MT 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for
they will be filled.
I remember when I used to cry out to God day and night begging Him to help me and to
set me free from addiction. It seemed that no matter what I tried to do in order to get free nothing was really working for
me, and I felt so frustrated because in my heart I just wanted to finally get free. Then one day the Lord opened up the
above scripture to me that said if I hungered and thirsted to do what's right, that He would create a way just for
me to do that.
HEB 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the
author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
I have noticed in time that even though things did not change overnight the way that
I wanted them to, that God did eventually get to everything when He knew I was truly ready to deal with it. I wasn't ready
to deal with all my junk at the same time, and God showed me that if I just kept my eyes fixed on Him everyday, that
my faith and relationship with Him would be perfected in time. So I struggled less after this, and started trusting
God more.
MT 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
When we keep trying to fix ourselves outside of God's timing and leadership we are
bound to just get frustrated and exasperated because we cannot fix ourselves by ourselves; we all need God to set us free
since He is the only One with all the real answers and help that we need to get free. When you give your addiction problem
to the Lord things become much easier because we are no longer carrying the load for our recovery, He is. Life gets
easier.
JN 14:27 Peace I leave with
you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
You cannot find lasting peace in the world, or in secular groups that do not have the
real answers for true lasting recovery. True and lasting peace only comes from Jesus Christ, so instead of struggling to overcome
your addiction right now, give it to Jesus and in return He will give you lasting peace. Let me ask you something, has your
way set you free or given you peace? Jesus has all the answers and peace that you need to get fully and truly free.
JN 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will
be free indeed.
