Your Shame Can Become Your Fame

Anyone who has tumbled down the long path of addiction knows the great shame and humiliation that comes from all those around us who have witnessed the despicable things we have done while acting out. But I want to encourage you today that God can use these bad things that have happened in your life to bring His good into other people lives who are now going through what He has brought you through.

You see, as you continue to walk with the Lord and allow Him to set you free He will bring other people into your path that you can encourage with the truth of what God has done for you and what He can also do for them. You current badge of shame can one day become a trophy of what God is capable of doing to help someone like us. It doesn't matter so much what you have done, only what you allow God to do with it.

Mary Magdalene was a prostitute that Jesus helped and she went on to help other people through the testimony of what God did to set her free. Be encouraged this day my friend that the thing that you hate in your life right now can one day become the very foundation of a ministry used to help others. We live in a world full of people who are trapped in addiction and who do you think God will use to help them? Yep, "you".

MK 16:9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping.
