MK 4:22 For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be
brought out into the open. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
The funny thing about addiction is that we always seem to get caught at some point, and sometimes
there are not even any outward signs that we are using. Have you ever wondered how people end up figuring you out? It is usually
for a couple of reasons. One reason is that we emanate information from our spirits, and people that are closely tied to us
pick up on it, much like a mother knows when something is wrong with their child, and the other reason is that God, or sometimes
a demon will tell on you. God tells people in order to help you, but demons rat you out in order to get you into more trouble,
so that you will need more of your addiction to relieve all the new stress, and thus create a downward spiral that will eventually
destroy you. God wants to help and lift you up, but demons want to hurt and drag you down.
1JN 1:6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by
the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus,
his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Instead of getting upset or trying to just get better at hiding in the darkness, we should be thankful
that things are exposed in the light. It takes a lot of energy to hide and practice an addiction, plus we will never get any
outside help from others if we are stuffing our problems down so that no one can see them. Another benefit of having things
out in the open is that when we stand before the Lord at the end of our life, everything that has happened in our life will
be viewed openly. So it is better to get your life review movie edited out now before then by working out your addiction problems
here first. Literally every thought, word, and action that has ever taken place is fully recorded in heaven. So if you practice
an addiction just be aware and thankful that things will eventually come out so that you can finally find freedom.
2CO 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what
is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
