Someone's Daughter

LEV 19:29 " `Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.

When we view pornography we become cyber-Johns supporting cyber-prostitution, and porn is always based on fantasy, not reality, because every one of those girls is more than just a nude body, she is someones precious daughter with a soul that has just gone down the wrong road. Even if she has no parents, she is still God's precious daughter, and He is the One that designed and created the body that we are lusting after and sexually abusing.

Pornography may appear to be a soulless act with some impersonal image that is just providing a service, but the truth is that there is a real person inside that body who will have to see everything they did in life, and every person they helped to lead astray. Someday that woman's children will grow up and possibly see those pictures of their mother, or it could be anyone that sees them. When we support porn, we are also helping to destroy many lives.

I heard of a man who was out with his buddies drinking and going to strip bars, and while they were at one place hooting and ogling the girl that was stripping on the stage, one of the men suddenly stopped and was dead silent. In horror he realized that the girl up there was his daughter and he just didn't know she was a stripper. Reality came crashing down and all the men left quietly and went home. But it is always someones daughter, possibly yours.

I remember when I was deep into porn, I felt trapped and doomed to stay that way. One night I cried out to God for help, and I then began to see a vision in my mind of myself and other people involved with porn marching toward their judgment. High up on a cliff I saw Jesus viewing us all marching by, and I cried out to Him as a Christian for help. He looked straight at me and said, "Unless you repent, you will suffer the same fate as these others".

JAS 1:14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Most of us believe that our fantasy life will not affect our reality life, but that is just not true because when you think about something long enough, you will eventually begin to act it out in real life. Lust always has a price to pay at some point, so when we play around with it, it will always want something back from us in return. Lust always grows and takes on a life of its own. Plus secret sexual sin tends to comes out into the open, especially after a divorce.

If we are ever going to live free from pornography we will have to make a firm choice to step out from fantasy and into reality, because God will judge us in the end based on reality, not fantasy. We must remember that every person involved in porn is someones relative who cares deeply for them. So the next time you view someone on a porn site just imagine them as your child. Allow yourself to step into reality today and ask God to help you, and He will.

1JN 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

All unrighteousness means all, not just some. This includes every act of sexual sin that you have ever committed. All of it. Ask and allow God to cleanse, help, and heal you today.
